8/24/08 - According to the Memphis Center City Commission Downtown Memphis Condominium Report 2nd Qtr 2008, the first quarter of 2008 saw 56 condos sold in the 38103 zip code. In the second quarter of 2008, 76 condos sold, which is up 52% from the first quarter. 2Q 2008 condo sales are on par with 2007 sales but below 2006 sales for the 2Q. 2006 sales represent a historic high in the condo market. Condo sales in 2007 were the second highest year on record for the 38103 zip code, exceeding 2005 sales by 25%. Condo sales for the first half of 2008 are on track to exceed 2005 sales and on par with 2007 sales, demonstrating a continuing demand for Downtown condos.
